Meet Miss Tiffany
I am the director of Growing Garden Preschool and absolutely love my job. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts which includes some child development and family science classes from USU and am CPR and First Aid certified. My love of children started with me growing up next door to a daycare playing with all the younger kids, then teaching swim lessons during high school, watching my nieces and nephews and continues with my own three children. I enjoy gardening, reading, swimming, cooking with my little helpers and spending time with my 18 nieces and nephews and their parents.
I believe that children learn best when;
-They feel safe, secure, and loved
-They are excited about the activities and lessons
-There is a balance between teacher-directed and
child-initiated activities
I help foster this learning by providing children with a loving atmosphere and caring teacher, new theme-based activities each week, a structured curriculum and discovery centers in the preschool. Children work well with structure and that is why I have a routine I follow so that the kids are comfortable and know what to expect when they come here.
About The Preschool
- I provide a safe, comfortable and clean environment for your child to learn and play inside and outside.
- Small class sizes mean that your child gets more individual attention which allows me to interact with all the children on a more individual basis. I am also able to more easily assess and meet the needs of every child.
- I believe that children respond best in a positive environment. This allows children to gain self-esteem and motivates them to do their best. I try to use positive reinforcement whenever possible and teach the children many life skills that will help them not only through school but all their life. I treat your children with as much respect and kindness that I do my own and would expect from others that I trust my children with.
- There is supervised free play geared towards the lesson of that week to allow the children to express themselves through imagination and use their creativity.
- Our classes include ages 3 to 5 so that the younger children can learn from watching the older children. The older children learn patience and also remember the lessons better when they help the younger children.
